Latest information: 2008 - New photographs taken by Dave Kenny show that the tree is little changed. If anything foliage on the fragment appears greener than when I saw it in 2005. 9th April 2005 - Though the tree is still struggling, it was considered worth while to make a new sign recognising its significance.Foliage on the branches growing from the fragment is still thin and discoloured. Of several stems growing from the root stock one carries thick foliage.
