Notes: The strangely shaped yew seen in the photograph is found at the foot of the steps of the entrance to the Hermitage Chapel. Its 4 misshapen stems suggests considerable human interference. There are other yews at the site, one at the chapel itself grows hard by the western wall of a 15th century 'hall' and was clearly affected by the construction. This has a girth of 284 cm.
