Notes: August 1999 Tim Hills: All that remains is half of a shell, fluted and with a covering of red bark. A large metal band attempts to hold it together. There are further, less conspicuous, bands higher in the tree.

Latest information: 2007 - Ian Robert Brown - Steel banded at about 8ft. Trunk completely hollow with large opening on one side. In a well trodden, plucked and preened space, perhaps restricting new growth. Nonetheless appears to be in good health.
