Notes:1982 – Allen Meredith: “I found the yew tree east of the church. It is very decayed and ruined inside its hollow trunk. New growths appear to have been sent down from its main branches, there are many large gaps in the hollow trunk. Separation will probably take part over the coming years unless this tree is fortified. I did not measure due to the many small shoots coming from the trunk. Perhaps at a later date when the tree is trimmed up it will be measurable.
November 1997 – Tim Hills: A bole of about 6′ supports many branches, some dipping to the ground from its two main areas of growth. Inside a large cavity are twisted internal stems. Girth of 21′ 11” (668cm) at the ground.
