Notes:

1897: In Lowe’s book is a reference to 3 yews growing in the grounds of Brook House. These had all been measured, with girths at 3ft of 15ft, 10ft and 10ft 4ins. A request to the Brook House manager in 2011 asking for information about these yews was not answered.
1931: The largest yew was recorded as 14m x 474cm girth for the Conifer Conference Report
1957: The largest yew was remeasured by Hatton Gardner at 11m x 465cm at 1m.
