Tree ID: 1027
Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m
Tree girth: 523cm
Girth height: at the ground
Tree sex: female
Date of visit: 7-Apr-02
Source of earliest mention: 1936: The King's England - Arthur Mee
Notes:1980/81 – Alen Meredith: Tucked away in the corner of the churchyard. Of no significant size, only some 18 feet in girth, however it does have the appearance of looking very old despite its healthy condition.
April 2002 – Tim Hills: Ivy concealed much of the bole and I estimated that about a quarter was dead wood. A bell hangs in its branches, connected by wires and pulleys to the church. Girths recorded were 17′ 2” (523cm) at the ground and 16′ 7” (505cm) at 3′.
