Paul Wood 2015: The yew grows 10 metres down the bank to the river and seemed to be inaccessible without specialist climbing gear. It appeared to have a girth of above 12′.
Dougald Purce – 2025: Girth of this yew at its narrowest point on the stem – 492cm (16′ 2”).
