Girth around the whole tree, including the additional stem, was 19′ 6” (594cm) at 1′ and 22′ 3” (678cm) at 3′. Girth excluding the additional stem was 15′ 2” (462cm) at 1′.

Girth around major stem 15′ 6” (472cm) at 2′, considered to be the highest point at which meaningful measurement could be taken. Girth around minor stem 8′ 6” (259cm) at 18”. There is some evidence that the tree was struck by lightning at some time in the past.
