Notes:

August 1984 – Allen Meredith: A female yew WSW of the church. Girth about 25′ 8” (782cm) at 4′ from the ground. A very healthy solid looking yew. I took a sample of decayed wood for later examination.
January 1998 – Tim Hills: The yew grows SW of the church. It has an exceptional bole, the outside of which is covered with a layer of narrow fluted stems of regular size.
28/11/2011 – Tim Hills: At about 3′ and including one bulging section, girth was 25′ 8” (782cm). Between 1′ and 2′ girth was exactly 25′ (762cm). Because of the sloping ground this would be a difficult tree to remeasure in exactly the same place.
