Notes:In Arcisse de Caumont’s 1857 Statistique monumental du Calvados, vol 4, p93/94 he writes that ‘an enormous yew displays its roots at the side of the road and covers with its numerous branches a part of the churchyard. The yew has a girth of 5 metres in the middle.’
