This yew had a very low break of crown and a girth of 12’ 0” (366cm) at the root crown. In ‘Southern Life’ there is the following reference to this church. ‘The oldest yew tree, that on the north, was planted in 1829.’ Since there are several old Irish yew close to this tree the date could refer to one of those.
