Notes:The yews at this site would appear to be in the age range 150/250 years, though evidence from similar woodlands on a thin chalky soil chalk suggest that some specimens might be older still. In one area there are more than 100 yews, in another about 60. Deer regularly visit this woodland; in spite of this there are many younger yews to be seen.
