Notes:The yew grows on a slight mound. In spite of its large girth it has the appearance of a yew more commonly seen in a garden setting, of one that has been much cut and managed. Is this in fact the yew noted in the UK archives as follows: “Note concerning planting of yew tree in the churchyard, 8 March 1823. ref 4326 A/PB 1.”
