Notes:

October 1999 Tim Hills: Numerous thick branches surround a 4′ high platform in the centre of the tree. Girth was 24′ 8” (752cm) at 2′ and 23′ 0” (701cm) at 6”.
June 2013 – Peter Norton: The female yew grows south of the chapel doorway. It has a low break of crown from which many stems sprout. Two of these have been storm damaged and the centre one is hollow and fragmenting. A girth of 23′ 4” (711cm) at about 6” was obtained.
June 2025 – Jane Bridgman: Although a sign suggests there is no public access, anybody can enter this churchyard. A gentleman who lives nearby had been removing ivy from the tree and appeared to be acting as the tree’s guardian. I recorded a girth of 740cm (24′ 3”) at 15 cm.
