A yew with a known planting date of 1612 (according to documents held in the county records office).
October 1981 – Allen Meredith: “An unusual yew tree, a solid healthy yew with limbs reaching down to the ground, and forming a canopy all round. To see the trunk you have to get right underneath the tree, which grows SW of the church. The yew measures 10′ 6” ( 320cm) at 5′ and 10′ 1” (301cm) at 4′ from the ground.
