Notes:September 2009 – Tim Hills: Only one of the 3 yews is old – a hollow shell from which only a single branch survives, pointing towards the church. Roses and clematis have been planted alongside, to grow around this substantial stump. There was a wasp nest inside the tree, enmeshed in the dead internal stems. Two younger yews, male and female, each girthing between 8′ and 9′, grow either side of the lych gate.
