Lawshall

In 1988 the Conservation Foundation ran a Yew Tree Campaign, publicised by the Country Living Magazine. Churches were asked to send information about their yew trees and received the following information:
1) 8’9” at 3′ and 6′ 1” at 4′
(2) 6′ 2” at 3′ and 5′ 11” at 4′
(3) 8′ 7” at 3′ and 10′ 6” at 4′
(4) 5′ 0” at 3′ and 5′ 4” at 4′
(5) 6′ 2” at 3′ and 6′ 6” at 4′.
Allen Meredith considered this to be an ‘Avenue possibly 200 years old’. A certificate for this age was sent to the church.
