Notes:

1988: Conservation Foundation Country Living Yew Tree Campaign: In a letter from Mrs J.Jerrome 2 groups of yews are noted. The first is of 4 in a row growing eastwards on the north side of path.
No1 – girth 110” (9′ 2”). Against this Meredith has written the year 1725.
No2 is ‘of bushy habit from ground’.
No 3 is girth 66” (5′ 6”).
No 4 is girth 112” (9′ 4”). Against this Meredith has also written the year 1725.
A further two yews are noted growing east of the church on the south side of the path. Girth of one is 55” (4′ 7”) and the other is simply described as ‘large of bushy habit from ground’.
A certificate for 263 years for the two yews planted in 1725 was sent to the church.
