Notes:

The yew is included in drawings/sketches from 1795 and 1824. This 1795 sketch is dated May 1st and attributed to T.Cadell and W.Davies. In one account (author and date not known) we are told that ‘The churchyard was closed to burials in 1833. It has a low brick wall to Tentelow Road with stone gate piers and metal gates with an overthrow; among the trees is a large yew.’ It no longer exists, though a younger looking yew can be seen on Google Earth growing in a similar position to the old tree.
