Notes:

1839: In A description of the scenery of the Lake District (1839) by William Ford is the following: “Near the pleasant village of Watermillock stood the old church, in a very sequestered bay: the old churchyard yew still survives.”
June 2002 – Tim Hills: On an island of bark chippings within a stone border. A tree of 2 sides held together with rods and braces. The gap is filled with about 3′ of humus.
November 2009 – Edwin Pretty: The tree is still of good vigour, and has a spotlight fitted in the hollow trunk. The site has been a private residence for some time, and was not open to the public.
