1913: The yew closest to the church, described as the smaller of the two and ‘rather difficult to measure, as the bole is ribbed and certain of these ribs project boldly’. Girth at that time was 7′ 6” (229cm) at 3′ 6”.
1981 – Allen Meredith: Girth of 9′ 0” (274cm) at 4′ and 9′ 10” (300cm) at 5′.
2011 – Tim Hills: Girth of 10′ 2” (310cm) at 3′ 6”.
