Notes:

The 1890 Hampshire Antiquary and Naturalist described the site as “a charming spot, in the very heart of the village, surrounded by trees, among them a very ancient yew.” It is not clear whether this is that yew.
The tree growing today is well away from the church at the farthest southeast corner of the lower graveyard. It has a flared bole and a large basal cavity with evidence of small internal roots. Break of crown is at about 9′ with two main leaders and healthy looking foliage. Girths were recorded as follows: 12′ 9” (389cm) at 3′; 13′ 8” (417cm) measured at the top of the slope on which it grows; 13′ 6” (411cm) at 1′ and 13′ 4″ (406cm) at 2′.
