Notes:

1982 – Allen Meredith: “I found only one significant yew in the churchyard, it is directly south from the church, quite solid and very healthy, not of very large girth, at 4ft from the ground it measured 8ft 8ins (264cm). As in most cases people locally do not seem to be aware of the history of these yews, and although this particular yew is not very old it is an important tree, for very few have known planting dates. An illustrated plate of the SE side of Wimborne Minster church clearly shows a solid looking yew near a flat tombstone, this illustration appears in a Victorian book on Abbeys and churches dated 1890.” It has not been possible to find this illustration.
2025 – Peter Norton: A female yew tree south of the church with girth of 10′ 7” (323cm) at 2′.
