Notes: The yew grows in a private garden at Pinhills on the Bowood Estate. The tree is found at a vantage point with extensive views to the north. It is recorded that Macaulay used to sit there whilst reflecting on the momentous issues of the day, whilst the reform bill was slowly grinding its way through Parliament.
