Notes: 1946: Vaughan Cornish recorded that here were 'churchyard yews which form a walk'. 2003 - Tim Hills: I counted 28 yews in this 'walk', some in single file and other creating an avenue, with 5 more furthest from the church. These grow above a stream and alongside an avenue of Irish yews, some of which appear to have been trained to perhaps create a yew tunnel. The trees have been planted in a westerly direction from the church. 2015 - Paul Wood: An avenue of which most appear less than 200 years old, with one or two exceptions. One of these grows halfway along the avenue and had a girth of about 11'. 2025 - Dougald Purce has made a closer study of the Bromfield yews and recorded one of considerable size. See PDF.
