Notes: Although this tree has become known as the Bulbarrow Yew, it is not on Bulbarrow Hill, but on the wooded slopes of nearby Woolland Hill. There is parking at the Woolland Nature Reserve - Google 50.851583, -2.31142. Head north west down the slope for approx 170m and the yew is found just inside the woodland at 50.851989,-2.313931. It grows on a north facing slope, as you approach the tree. It appears to grow very close to the ground and is almost impenetrable. The canopy has a diameter of 26 metres as measured from east to west by Mark Hinsley and Emma Brawn. The tree is featured in The Great Trees of Dorset.
