Notes: From the main A4110 through Canon Pyon, there is a turning along an unclassified road signposted to Weobley, Kings Pyon and Canon Pyon Church. About a kilometre along this road is the church. Park here and continue on foot uphill along the unclassified road. Along the next 0.62 km on the right hand side of the road is a bank many metres high in places where many different tree species grow. Interspersed among these are several very old yews. Given the steepness of the bank and in places its overgrown nature, as well as twiggy growth and ivy on the yews, it was not possible to properly record these trees. An early map (c1800) appears to show this area as woodland pasture. The nature of the sunken lane is reminiscent of Hope Bagot, where similar yews are found.
