Notes: Valley Park Woods includes Titlark Copse, Small Profits Wood, Knight Wood and Clothiers Copse. These were part of an area of ancient wood pasture which has evolved into high forest. The woods are in an area which in the mid 1980s changed from being predominantly rural to urban by the expansion of Chandlers Ford to the east. The woods are now surrounded by dense housing, an industrial estate and associated infrastructure. The woods are generally comprised of oak, ash and birch with some under storey of hazel, holly and other shrubs.
