Notes: In Arcisse de Caumont's 1867 Statistique monumental du Calvados, vol 5 p722 he notes that in the churchyard there is a yew with roots on the soil that measures 10 feet and a half of circumference. The location was named Chefreville by Caumont, joining with Tonnencourt in 1882.
