Notes: A church was built here in the late 12th century, but the site may be older. "Seven yew trees of great age and dimensions" were noted in 1830. In the 1890s Lowe noted 8 yews, with girths from 7' 6'' to 15'. In 2000 I measured the 3 significant yews recorded here and noted a further 6 younger yews as well as 2 recent plantings.
