Notes: Archaeologia Cambrensis refers to 'yr hen Eglwys' or old church as the site of this yew. Its position was about a mile ESE of Coedladur, spelt Coed-ladyr on the present OS map. In maps of c1940 the location was marked as 'site of church' but it no longer exists. It is at a height of about 1300' and on an old Celtic-Roman road.
