Notes: St Andrew's church was consecrated in 1215. It is considered by some to have been built on the site of St Congar's original wattle church. The drawing dated 1829 shows a tree SE of the church. Is it an artist's representation of the Congresbury Yew? In Rutter's 1826 Delineations of the NW Division of Somerset is the following: "The chancel windows are good specimens of the perpendicular era, and are shaded by an unusually fine yew tree."
