Notes: Dudmaston Hall and gardens are owned by the National Trust - see their website for opening times. Three yews were discovered by the head gardener when clearing a dingle that had been overgrown for decades. At that time the possibility that it was a Saxon marker yew was considered. What we do know is that the estate has been owned by the same family for 850 years, and it is certainly possible that the oldest yew here dates from that time.
