Notes: We are informed that the present church was built in 1715 and that there are no records of a previous church on the site. The presence of a yew that predates the present church by several centuries suggests an earlier use of the site and more research is needed to establish what that was. Four yews grow here, SW,SE, NW and NE. The yew growing SW is the tree that predates the present church, while those growing SE and NW have girths that suggest they were planted when the present church was built. The smallest girthed yew, at 287cm, is not included here.
