Notes: This site is also known as Netley Heath. The Sheepleas and Mountain Wood combine to create a larger woodland block with Effingham Forest to the east, separated by Honeysuckle Bottom, a road following a Combe valley. The Mountain Wood area is the far eastern tip of the Netley Heath Beds, which are sand and gravel with some lower Greensand. At Effingham is also found a 'Yew Walk', planted during the early part of the 19th century. The avenue was part of the Lovelace Estate and the path that it is found on leads over a bridleway and into Box Walk.
