Notes: Empton Farmhouse is a Grade 2 listed building. The house is 17th century and the farmhouse is considered to be post medieval - from 1540 onwards. Three yews in a line grow on a bank opposite and due west of the farmhouse, suggesting the possibility of planting to protect the house from the prevailing westerly wind. One of the trio has a girth suggesting it might be at least as old as the building.
