Notes: From The Sacred Yew by Chetan and Brueton (1994) the location is described as follows: 'Behind an old tithe barn at Englishcombe a row of yews perches on a steep ramparted bank'. The Tithe Barn was restored in 1993/4 the the help of English Heritage and is now open on Sundays and Bank holidays between April and September. A trio of yews grow on private land behind the Tithe Barn, in the garden of The Old Rectory. A 19th century parish map shows the course of the Wansdyke passes yards from this location.
