Notes: Public access (with parking) is at the top of Calfstock Lane, which runs north from the Dartford Road, almost opposite Franks Hall, just a short distance east of Farningham village. It is a local nature reserve and an SSSI, a managed ancient mixed woodland which also features small-leaved lime (rare in Kent). The woods are acknowledged on 17th century maps and a parish boundary passes through its northern section.
