Notes: A private house - the site where it is told that Lord Napier (Montrose's brother-in-law) died in 1645 and had 'his heart removed from his body and buried under the Yew tree in the garden' (from The Atholl Experience by Brian Robertson). The present house carries the date 1640 on a carved stone adjacent to the front door and 1702 over the front door.
