Notes: In 1983 this woodland formed part of a larger area designated as 'a nature reserve so that it can be managed in such a way as to ensure the conservation of the woodland and lake ecosystems which it constitutes'. A visitor centre has been developed in the Reserve and 'addresses both the historical and scientific values of the site'.
