Notes: King's Park is a remnant of a mansion and estate that once belonged to a tobacco lord. It was formally landscaped in keeping with the date of the house and other listed structures (1805). The 1816 map shows lines of trees that correspond to the placement of yews featured here. It is likely that the landscaping here was carried out with input from the architect David Hamilton, probably between 1806 and 1823.
