Notes: This location is at Gort na mona, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. It is called Gartnamara in Lowe's 1896 book The Yew Trees of Great Britain and Ireland. The yew recorded here is given a girth of 12' 5''at the ground and 22' 6'' at 3'. Bole length is given as 6', height as 40' and diameter of umbrage as 50ft. It was described by EW Lynham as spreading into 20 great branches at a height of 5'.
