Notes: This fallen phoenix yew is found in the parish of Old Radnor on the west side of Hanter Hill. Around this site are slight earthworks considered to be settlement but not conclusively identified as such. A metal detectorist found a Bronze Age spear and a number of Roman coins around these earth works, but nothing else. In the winter a number of springs appear around the tree. There is as yet no conclusive attachment made between the finds and the earth works.
