The site is described by Jackey Kershaw: The tree is in a small piece of woodlands opposite some cottages, it takes a bit of looking for, but it is about halfway between the entrance to Sanctuary Close and Taylors Meadow, but on the opposite side of the road. Iif you go through the stile gate just before this woodland you can get through to Old Park Woods, which is held in trust by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust. This woodland dates back over 1000 years and has numerous very old trees in it. You are free to walk in these woods.
