Notes: Tim Hills 2000: Male and female yews grow 7m apart SE of the church. 'The dedication to an obscure British saint, the riverside location, and the churchyard morphology point to an early medieval beginning' (CPAT). Paul Wood 2016: While the area between the road and the church was neat and tidy, that around the yews has become peppered with holes, dying grasses, collapsed graves and fallen tombstones and copious amounts of moss. I wonder whether this is a result of the excessive amounts of rain we received during the last winter. The churchyard wall nearby seemed close to collapsing and there were shards of broken glass lying around. Care is required at this site as the land is unstable around the trees.
