Notes: The present church was built in 1291 on a site that is older still. The church guide considers there to be 4 'ancient' yews, but only two are particularly noteworthy and recorded here. The other two are (1) a male yew east of the church, twin stemmed from the ground with a girth of 15' 2'' at the base, and (2) a single stemmed female SW of the church with a base girth of 12' 0'' and 11' 8'' at 1'. These girths were recorded by Reg Wheeler in 1983.
