Notes: This was a substantial tree, recorded with a girth of about twelve yards in 1823 in Sylva Florifera - Henry Phillips. In 1924 A History of the County of Worcester: Volume 4 stated that 'On the south side of this approach there is a magnificent yew tree'. Still there in 1946, Vaughan Cornish recorded that the 'old yew flanking the main entrance to the churchyard' was still growing.
