Notes: The yew grows in the grounds of Melbury Chapel and is part of the Melbury House estate. The ancient village of Melbury Sampford was swept away around 1547 when the deer park was created. The gardens around the chapel used to be occasionally open to the public but in 2012 this is no longer the case. The church is 15th century.
