Notes: It is thought that there was a wooden church here at the time of the Norman conquest. When E.Straker visited in 1880 the only yew noted was a small girthed tree SSW of the church, given a girth of 6' 6'' at 4'. In 1980 Meredith recorded a girth of 6' 11'' (height at which measured not recorded).
