Yews recorded at this site: Ancient 7m+

Notes: Male and female trees of great girth grow by the side of a road in a clearing between fields on the opposite side of the road from St John's church. It is thought these might have been churchyard trees in Saxon times when the building would have been of wooden construction. Though the yews can be seen from the road the land they grow on is privately owned. They are seen on page 33 of Andrew Morton's book "The Trees of Shropshire".
